Got mine also the other day through a grou pon deal. It's a good beanbag apart from the smell from the cover. We've washed it twice and it made no difference. Will be leaving it to air also. Seems a very strong smell.

I got my beanbag last week and must agree with JasonWD - the smell is awful. the "smell" would be better described as "toxic fumes", and I am not being melodramatic. From the moment I put the beanbag in its cover the smell literally permeated every corner of the house. Our cat sneezed continuously for hours and we both had headaches and lightheadedness. We moved the beanbag to a room with a wide open window but this did not improve matters and the beanbag is now in the shed. The smell/fumes has/have clung to clothes, hair and furniture alike. The smell is still extremely strong on clothes more than 24hrs later. I have now written to beliani about this but would be extremely interested in others experiences, and in particular to know what the outcome was with your beanbag JasonWD.

I got mine yesterday and have the following to add:

•The stitching is a bit hit and miss and there is extra thread everywhere which gets stuck in the zip - even the logo tab has stitching errors

•The fabric is quite rough- not soft against skin

•THE SMELL - I hand washed the cover in the bath as soon as I took it out of the box because it smelt like petrol/chemicals. The washing didn't help so I am leaving it outside to air so the smell doesn't permeate the house.

My daughter moved into student accommodation in September and was in need of some decent sized, and comfortable furniture. We picked up one of these and she absolutely loves it. She's quite tall so the fact that its six feet long is ideal for her if she want to lie down on it. And its easy to clean she tells me, which is just what students need!
